Press statement on the passing of Batangas gubernatorial candidate Armand Sanchez

I was deeply saddened to hear about the sudden passing of Governor Armand Sanchez.
I respect Armand not just as a political ally, but as a true public servant who has helped raise the livelihood of many Batanguenos, and who has continued to serve Batangas even without holding a public position. He was a true "Action Man," focused and determined in getting things done.
My deepest sympathies go to his family and loved ones, and to the people of Batangas, for the loss of one of its greatest, home-grown pride.
