Legarda Renews Call to Prepare for the ‘Big One’

Senator Loren Legarda today renewed her call to disaster management agencies and local government units (LGUs) to prepare for the Big One, or the projected 7.2-magnitude earthquake in Metro Manila.

The advocacy film, Taklub, continues to receive good reviews following its successful premiere at the 68th Cannes Film Festival in France as part of the Un Certain Regard selection.
 
As Director Brillante Mendoza led the Taklub entourage during the premiere at the Debussy Theater, Senator Loren Legarda said she felt even prouder of this project, which she principally advocated.

The Filipino advocacy film, Taklub, successfully premiered this week at the 68th Cannes Film Festival in France as part of the Un Certain Regard selection, according to a press statement released by the office of Senator Loren Legarda.

MANILA, May 21 — The advocacy film, Taklub, has successfully premiered yesterday at the 68thCannes Film Festival in France as part of the Un Certain Regard selection.
 
As Director Brillante Mendoza led the Taklub entourage, Senator Loren Legarda said she felt even prouder of this project, which she principally advocated.
