Ikinatuwa ni Senadora Loren Legarda, na syang Tagapangulo ng Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, ang pagbabalik ng Balangiga Bells sa Pilipinas at nagsabing tanda ito ng kabutihang-loob, kapatiran at pagka-kaisang namamagitan sa Pilipinas at Estados Unidos.

Noong Martes, ang Balangiga Bells, ang tatlong kampana ng simbahan na kinuha ng Hukbong Amerikano noong taong 1901 bilang premyong-digma mula sa bayan ng Balangiga sa Silangang Samar, ay inilipad patungo sa Philippine Air Force headquarters sa Villamor Airbase.

Legarda Partners with DOT to Bring PHL Harvest to Antique

In a bid to further promote tourism and the products of Antique, Senator Loren Legarda has partnered with the Department of Tourism (DOT) to bring the Philippine Harvest to the province.

Dubbed as Antique Harvest, it is the first in Western Visayas and aims to promote culinary heritage and tourist destinations in the 18 towns of Antique. It will be held on December 14-16, 2018 at the Expansion Area of Robinsons Place Antique.

Legarda: Return of Balangiga Bells Sign of Goodwill and Solidarity Between PH, US

Senator Loren Legarda, Chair of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, today welcomed the return of the Balangiga Bells to the Philippines and said that it is a sign of goodwill and solidarity between the country and the United States.

 

On Tuesday, the Balangiga Bells, the three church bells that were taken by the US army in 1901 as war trophies from Balangiga town in Eastern Samar, were airlifted to the Philippine Air Force headquarters in Villamor Airbase.

ERB Upholds Decision on Legarda’s Transfer of Registration to Pandan, Antique

The Election Registration Board (ERB) in Pandan, Antique upheld its decision on the validity of Senator Loren Legarda’s transfer of voter registration to Barangay Mag-aba in Pandan as it denied the Motion for Reconsideration (MR) filed by Arnold Z. Sastrado.

 

In its decision dated November 26, 2018, the ERB in Pandan denied the MR for “lack of merit.”
