The Kilusang Pagbabago Antique Chapter on Sunday endorsed the candidacy of Senator “Inday Loren” Legarda, who is running as Representative of the Lone District of Antique.

The group made the proclamation of support to Legarda during the Oath-taking ceremonies of its officers in the Municipality of Belison.

Legarda said that bringing positive change to Antique is her main reason for running as Congresswoman. With the endorsement of the Kilusang Pagbabago, she now has the support of a movement that has the same goals of bringing active change to the community.

She assured them that she will continue to bring government services closer to people so it can truly be felt on the ground. “Ang kalidad ng aking serbisyo sa inyo ay may malasakit, nag-aaruga, at diretso sa tao,” said Legarda.

She added that the efficient implementation of government programs and 24/7 delivery of services are the changes that she will bring to Antique because she wants her province to become progressive, prosperous and to pursue sustainable development.

Aside from ensuring that the government’s programs—free college education in state universities and colleges, free healthcare services, skills trainings, employment and livelihood programs from various agencies—reach all corners of the province, Legarda goes out of her way to bring more opportunities for Antique.

She has also provided support for all local industries, providing boats, community fish landing centers, and post-harvest fishing kits to fisherfolks; breeding stock for dairy and poultry farmers; weaving and processing centers for weavers; trainings to improve local products; and equipment, facilities and materials needed by various micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the province.
